The man behind the poetry and stories.
Vito Bono
Vito is a native of the Mid-West. At age twenty-seven, he began his career as a Social Worker/Therapist. Shortly thereafter, he practiced and taught yoga as an avocation. When his children were very young, he wrote short stories and fables for them. As a grandfather, he started writing poetry.
Vito’s philosophy is that authors should not be confused with what they write. The person and the writer may be quite different. Nor should they be considered anything special because of their writing. As authors may tell you, people they have known, or situations and books they have read influenced them. For the most part what they write appears to come through them rather than from them. There have been many writers and other people who have influenced Vito’s thinking and conclusions about life. The one person most influential was his grandfather whom he was named after. That influence grew from their genuine fondness for each other.
